DVUSD Extends Contract of Superintendent Finch

At its Aug. 28 meeting, the DVUSD Governing Board voted 5-0 to extend the contract of Superintendent Curtis Finch through June 30, 2022. Finch, who is very active on Twitter, took over in July 2017 and had a contract through June 30, 2019.

“I am pleased with the energy and enthusiasm Dr. Finch has brought to the district and look forward to working with him for many years to come,” said board President Jenny Frank.

Before moving to Arizona, Finch was superintendent of the Mecosta Osceola Intermediate School District in Big Rapids, Mich. He has a degree in secondary mathematics, a Master’s in administration and a Ph.D. in education. He has been in school administration for 25 years.
