Dynamic Valley Duo Plays Amped Oct. 11

For 15 years, In&Out Magazine has been the definitive source of “Everything that’s going on” in and out of the community. We thank you, our readers, as well as the businesses that support the magazine through advertising, for that opportunity. But with little going on, and many businesses suspending or canceling their ads during the Covid-19 crisis, we are suspending publication of the magazine and web sites for the month of May.

When Notes from Neptune first played Amped last month, they wowed the crowd with a surprising set of covers across multiple genres, from rock to jazz to country. Thomas Love attacks the sax, and his growling vocals could carry any band. But Scott Worstell almost steals the set with thumb-numbing guitar strumming and his own wistful vocals.

Most enjoyable, this dynamic Valley duo has fun, both through unique arrangements of songs from diverse performers such as Pink Floyd, James Brown and Gnarls Barkley and via banter between themselves and with fans.
