Public Input Sought on Happy Valley Road Interchange Construction

During construction of new interchanges on I-17 at Happy Valley and Pinnacle Peak roads, slated to begin in fall 2018 and be completed in 2020, lane closures and delays will be inevitable. ADOT is seeking input from residents in the area, via an online survey, to help determine the best approaches.

Additional lanes will be added to both roads at the interchanges, and to the interstate, and at Happy Valley, ADOT will nix the roundabouts and install a “diverging diamond traffic interchange,” or DDI. [Full Story]

“While we cannot guarantee an impact-free schedule, we are committed to finding ways to accommodate the community’s needs and requests whenever and wherever we can,” ADOT said in a statement. “If you live or work in the project area, please complete a Preconstruction Survey.”
