Anyone concerned about the safety of New River Road on the east side of I-17 from the interstate to Desert Hills Drive will have an opportunity to be heard by the Maricopa County Department of Transportation in a public open house.

“Residents along the roadway have voiced concerns regarding turning movements, sight visibility at approaches, speed consistency, and general safety along this roadway,” MCDOT said in a statement.

Residents can drop by anytime during the two-hour meeting to speak with MCDOT reps.
