Man Missing Since Christmas Eve is Found

UPDATE Dec. 28 — Jonathan McRae was located this morning at approximately 10:51 a.m. near Scottsdale Road and Rio Salado Parkway in Scottsdale, the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office reported. “He was located by an family member and is OK,” MCSO said. “The Maricopa County Sheriff’s office would like to thank everyone for getting his information out to the public.”


The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information on a man missing since Sunday evening from the New River Road and Desert Hills area. Jonathan McRae is about 6-foot-2, 185 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

McRae left a residence in the New River area Sunday evening—Christmas Eve—at about 5:30, “walking a grey colored pit bull,” MCSO said in a statement. “He did not return.”

He was last seen at 40807 N 10th Street, east of New River Road. He was wearing a green flannel shirt, grey sweat pans and brown boots. Anyone with information is asked to call MCSO at 602-876-1011.
