The storm overnight dropped anywhere from 1/3 of an inch to 2/3 of an inch of rain across North Phoenix. Totals from the storm, at rain gauges monitored by the Maricopa County Flood Control District:

Prior to the storm, all of Arizona was in some level of drought, and the long-range forecast indicates more dry weather through the winter, with La Niña in place. Rain back on Dec. 6 ended a 103-day dry spell, but there’s been little precipitation since.

Thursday and Friday are expected to be sunny, according to the National Weather Service, with highs in the 60s, with mid-70s by the weekend (full forecast for Deer Valley Airport).
