Pet Grooming Gets Personal

Step inside Twin Tails Cageless Grooming, and you may think you’ve entered a hair salon for humans. From their mobile-grooming business, Jamie and Bill Matson brought the concept of cageless waiting and one-on-one grooming for dogs and cats to a fixed location.

The salon is equipped with six work stations, each with a grooming table, supply vanity and mirror. Each pet gets a personal groomer who handles everything from start to finish, including a blow-dry by hand.

“When the pets come in, they go straight to their groomer,” Jamie said. “There’s never any co-mingling.” The salon’s grand opening was Oct. 12. — Karen Goveia
