The deadline to file for candidacy for the November election for a seat on the Deer Valley Unified School District Board is Aug. 8.
A pair of four-year-term seats—those held by Kimberly Fisher and Ann O’Brien—are up for election on the five-member board.
Eligible candidates must be a registered voter in the state of Arizona and must be residents of the school district for at least one year as of the day preceding election day.
Ineligible candidates include: school district employees and spouses of employees, as well as third-party contractors who provide certified or classified services to the district.

Candidates can file election documents, including signatures, at the Maricopa County School Superintendent’s Office or the Maricopa County Elections Department.
