I-17 Rollover Causes Thanksgiving Day Backup

For 15 years, In&Out Magazine has been the definitive source of “Everything that’s going on” in and out of the community. We thank you, our readers, as well as the businesses that support the magazine through advertising, for that opportunity. But with little going on, and many businesses suspending or canceling their ads during the Covid-19 crisis, we are suspending publication of the magazine and web sites for the month of May.

A rollover crash on I-17 near the New River exit slowed freeway traffic in both directions Thanksgiving Day. The northbound backup extended to the Daisy Mountain Drive exit at mid-day. The delays cleared by early afternoon, ADOT reported.

The crash was in the median, ADOT said. Daisy Mountain Fire Department crews were on the scene. “One person required extrication,” DMFD said. “Two people were transported to the hospital.”

The crash was a single-vehicle rollover, DMFD said.
