Teen Hit by Car in Anthem

A teenager was hit by a car in Anthem today, according to Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office.

“Deputies responded and discovered that a car had hit a 13-year-old boy riding a bicycle,” MCSO Sgt. Calbert Gillett told North Phoenix News. “The child was transported with life-threatening injuries.” The crash occurred near Anthem Way and Daisy Mountain drive, according to other news reports.

“It is unknown at this time if speed and/or impairment are factors,” Gillett said, adding that detectives would investigate.
