A semi rolled over on I-17 today near Bumble Bee Road exit, about 14 miles north of Black Canyon City, slowing traffic in the northbound lanes.
“Amazingly, the driver was able to walk away from this accident,” which happened after “his brakes failed earlier today,” Daisy Mountain Fire & Medical said in a Twitter post. “We want to remind drivers to use extreme caution when navigating I-17 between Sunset Point and Black Canyon City. Slow down, use a lower gear, and never text and drive.”
By early afternoon, any backups had cleared, ADOT reported.
