Business Briefs: Restaurants on the Move

For 15 years, In&Out Magazine has been the definitive source of “Everything that’s going on” in and out of the community. We thank you, our readers, as well as the businesses that support the magazine through advertising, for that opportunity. But with little going on, and many businesses suspending or canceling their ads during the Covid-19 crisis, we are suspending publication of the magazine and web sites for the month of May.

Among other recent business news, Filibertos in Anthem moved from the Ace Hardware Plaza to the space formerly occupied by Mama’s Hawaiian BBQ, on Anthem Way. Operating owner Fernando Cardona said the new space is twice as big and will offer drive-through service.

In the old Filibertos location, Manny’s Burgers will open under the same ownership as Filibertos. Expect fast-casual style, with specialty burgers, wings, salads and wraps, Cardona said. Pending permits, a mid-June opening is targeted.

What was once the New River Station on the frontage road north of Anthem, and briefly the Satisfied Frog, is now the Glossy Heifer, serving American and Southwest cuisine.
