New North Phoenix Business Makes Cookies & Treats

For 15 years, In&Out Magazine has been the definitive source of “Everything that’s going on” in and out of the community. We thank you, our readers, as well as the businesses that support the magazine through advertising, for that opportunity. But with little going on, and many businesses suspending or canceling their ads during the Covid-19 crisis, we are suspending publication of the magazine and web sites for the month of May.

There’s a new way to satisfy your sweet tooth in North Phoenix. Sweeteez serves up gourmet, made-in-house cookies, brownies and other treats.

The new shop, which had a grand opening May 18, is a collaboration among three sisters and their close friend who, after 18 years in the catering business, decided to combine their love for baking and being together into a new venture.

“We were looking for a booming community near some action,” co-owner Chelsea Jenkins said. “This community is great and there’s nothing like this up here.”

Chocolate chip, warm chocolate peanut butter, snickerdoodles and frosted sugar are the staple cookies. Each month will feature a specialty treat, Jenkins said. And, if you live in the 85085 zip code, you can have cookies delivered to your door.
