Upscale Apartments Coming to Norterra

Perceiving a need in fast-growing North Phoenix for upscale rental apartments with high ceilings and designer finishings, developer MC Residential is building 202 units in Norterra, right across from the entrance to Fireside at Norterra.

[Update Jan. 1, 2018 — The community, which opened Nov. 19, has been named The Place at Sonoran Trails.]

The apartments are at the intersection of  North Valley Parkway at Copperhead Trail. The development will offer single-level floorplans with one, two and three-bedroom options, as well as two bathrooms in some, ranging in size between 711–1,304 square feet, according to the developer. Garages will be available to a quarter of tenants, and the rest will get covered parking. The apartments will not be part of Fireside. 

The units, with 9-foot ceilings, will be decked out with designer cabinets, quartz countertops, stainless appliances, in-suite washer/dryer, private balcony/patios and private storage.

“There is a strong demand in this underserved market [of North Phoenix], and the addition of class-A apartments will provide affordable options,” Lesley Brice, President of MC Residential told In&Out.

Community amenities include a clubhouse, pool, spa, cabanas, grilling and entertainment areas, and a fitness center with yoga studio. Pets are allowed with no breed or size restrictions, Brice said.

Construction began in early January. The first building is expected to open late October, along with the clubhouse, Brice said, with final construction expected in March 2018.
