Tramonto Self-Storage Plans Pushed to Phoenix Planning Commission
Plans for a Tramonto-area self-storage facility moved a step closer to finalization, when the Phoenix North Gateway Village Planning Committee approved the proposal by a vote of 5-0.
Brexton, LLC is proposing a two-story, 117,000-square-foot building on nearly four acres sandwiched between the Ironhorse at Tramonto apartments and the under-construction Casitas at Tramonto near North Valley Parkway and Canotia Place. North Phoenix News reported the plans in February prior to a public meeting.
The developer promises the facility will not be open 24 hours or Sundays, and no outdoor storage will be allowed, said Brexton representative Melanie Wollenberg. “We want to be a good neighbor, and we want the neighborhood to use our building,” she said in a presentation to the North Gateway Board at it April 12 meeting.
The proposal requires special-use rezoning approval from the City of Phoenix. The Phoenix Planning Commission will consider the request on May 3.
