NoPho Among Top 10 Most Desirable Phoenix Neighborhoods
Fireside at Norterra, Sonoran Foothills, Tramonto, the west side of Anthem and all the ’hoods in between are part of three areas included in Zillow’s new list of the Top 10 Most Popular Neighborhoods in Phoenix.
The ranking is based on pageviews per home listings and indicates the desires and aspirations of potential homebuyers, Zillow explained. Three areas (see maps below) on the Top 10 list, as defined by the City of Phoenix and Zillow, encompass most of NoPho, the I-17 corridor between Norterra and New River.
- North Gateway (includes Tramonto, Sonoran Foothills and parts of Norterra)
- Deer Valley (includes parts of Norterra, Stetson Hills and other regions of North Phoenix down to Greenway Road)
- Rio Vista (includes the part of Anthem that’s in Phoenix; Anthem’s east side was not part of the analysis)

“While this doesn’t show a likelihood that more people will be buying homes and moving in, it does show how many people wish they could, or are curious about the neighborhood,” Zillow said in a statement. The rankings were based on the first three months of this year.
Earlier this year, North Gateway area snagged the 10th spot on a list of Top 25 List of Best Places to Live in the Valley, as determined by Niche, a web site that ranks U.S. schools and neighborhoods. Anthem was No. 14 on that list.
